MARS-88FD Lennartz 3-channel digital seismograph


  MARS-88 is a 16 bits three-channel digital seismic measurement system covering a wide range of sampling frequencies.

By combining advanced digital signal processor technology and a powerful general purpose microprocessor, it can provide extended measurement capabilities.

  • Sampling intervals: 2, 4, 8, . . . 128 msec.
  • Digital signal processor performs high-precision phaseless FIR anti-alias filtering in real time; >120 dB alias protection.
  • 16-bit standard resolution.
  • Trigger output and external trigger input; flexible trigger algorithm (STA/LTA, STA/ threshold).
  • TCXO clock with superior long-term stability.
  • DCF-77 time code decoder built in, optionally works with GPS receiver.
  • Automatic setting of absolute time.
  • 4 MB static CMOS RAM data buffer.
  • Two 1.4 MB floppy disk drives for data storage.
